Srivastava, IAS (KN, 1978), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Mr. Virendra Narayan Gaur, IAS (NL, 1978), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs may not be given in-situ promotion as Additional Secretary there as it is tipped that the PMO has asked for regular postings and abstain from giving in-situ promotion.

Mr. Jitesh Khosla, IAS (AM, 1979), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs will complete his central deputation tenure on 20th January, 2009. According to sources, the name of an officer to succeed Mr. Khosla as next Joint Secretary, Corporate Affairs has not yet been agreed upon.

Mr. A. K. R. Parmar may become Director, Health and Family Welfare

The name of Mr. Ashok Kumar Ranchhodbhai Parmar, IAS (JK, 1992) is almost final for appointment as Director in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, source said. The post was held earlier by Dr. Asha Thomas, IAS (KL, 1988) who proceeded for study leave in the month of July.

The name of Mr. Surendra Kumar Bagade, IAS (MH, 1993) is tipped to be in consideration for appointment as Director in the Ministry of Finance in the Government of India and he is likely to join at the Centre on deputation, sources informed.

Mr. K. C. Naredi, IRS (IT, 1983), whose tenure as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) in the Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF) was upto 30th November, 2008 is being given extension for two years, till 29th November, 2010.
