Mr. Rajiv Mathur may become next IB Chief

After many years, an IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre is expected to become the Chief of Indian Intelligence Bureau (IB). It is being speculated that the outgoing Chief of IB, Mr. P. C. Haldar, IPS (BH, 1970), is likely to be succeeded by Mr. Rajiv Mathur, IPS (UP, 1972), on completion of his tenure in the month of December, 2008. At present, Mr. Mathur is serving as Special Director in the IB.

Mr. Raman Srivastava expected to join today

Mr. Raman Srivastava, IPS (KL, 1973), who has been appointed as Special Secretary (Internal Security), Ministry of Home Affairs is expected assume his new assignment from today on 01st December, 2008. Mr. M. L. Kumawat, IPS (AP, 1972) following his appointment as Director General, Border Security Force was given the additional charge of the post of Special Secretary (Internal Security), Ministry of Home Affairs.

Ms. Smita Nagaraj may join Defence

Ms. Smita Nagaraj, IAS (TN, 1984) is tipped to be in consideration for her next assignment in the Ministry of Defence on deputation.

Mr. S. K. Panda may be appointed J. S., AYUSH

Mr. Sanjay Kumar Panda, IAS (MT, 1980) is in consideration for appointment as Joint Secretary in the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, sources said. Mr. Verghese Samuel, IAS (JK, 1976), the earlier incumbent to the post, went back to his parent cadre of Jammu and Kashmir, prematurely. Prior to this, Mr. Panda’s name came for the post of Joint secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs as well.

Mr. P. K. Jajoria to be empanelled as J. S. in GOI

According to sources, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Jajoria, IAS (JH, 1984) has been recommended by the CSB for empanelment for holding the post of Joint secretary or equivalent in the Government of India.

Ms. S. Kutty to be A. S., U. P. S. C.?

It is tipped that Ms. Sanjeevanee Kutty, IAS (MH, 1983) may soon be appointed as Additional Secretary in the Union Public Service Commission. The position is equivalent to the rank of Joint Secretary. The earlier incumbent to the post, Mr. Dillip Kumar Samantaray, IAS (MP, 1982) was appointed as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

Mr. Krinwant Sahay appointed Registrar, APTEL

Mr. Krinwant Sahay, Commissioner of Income Tax (ITAT), Bilaspur has been appointed as Registrar in Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL), New Delhi, Ministry of Power on deputation.

Transfer of CCITs/ DGITs

The Department of Revenue has issued transfer orders of following Chief Commissioners/ Director Generals of Income Tax;
Mala Ramakrishnan, CCIT-I, Mumbai has been transferred as DGIT(Inv.), Mumbai, R. K. Singh, DGIT(Inv.), Mumbai as CCIT(c)-II, Mumbai, P. C. Chhotaray, CCIT-IV, Mumbai as CCIT-I, Mumbai and Usha Gupta, CCIT-XI, Delhi as DGIT(L&R), Delhi.

Additional charge for CCITs

The Department of Revenue has given P. K. Dubey, CCIT-I, Delhi the additional charge of CCIT-XI, Delhi, P. C. Chhotaray, CCIT-I, Mumbai the additional charge of CCIT-XI, Mumbai, S. S. P. Singh, CCIT-X, Mumbai the additional charge of CCIT-III, Mumbai and Sri Ram Singh, CCIT-IX, Mumbai the additional charge of CCIT-IV, Mumbai.

Two CITs transferred

The Department of Revenue has transferred Sanjay Kumar, CIT (A)-XIII, Kolkata to the vacant post of CIT (CO), Delhi and Hari Krishan, CIT-II, Agra to the vacant post of CIT-V, Delhi.
