Empanelment of IAS officers of 1989 batch

The already delayed empanelment of IAS officers of 1989 batch to hold the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent in the Government of India is said to have caused lot of disappointment among the hopefuls and has raised many eyebrows following the recommendation of forty eight officers (list can be seen in our Archives, 18th November, 2008) only, for empanelment by the CSB, sources said. It is believed that the repercussions due to low percentage of officers clubbed with the factors like women and reserved category officers being neglected, as claimed by the left out officers, may force the authorities to rethink and thus delay the empanelment further.

Both of them joined as Deputy Secretary, PMO in the end of year 1985, were elevated as Director, PMO on 01st July, 1988, and served till the mid of year 1990.
