Mr. R. R. P. N. Sahi, IPS (BH, 1973) has been appointed as Commissioner of Security, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Ministry of Civil Aviation.
M. V. K. Rao appointed DG, SSB
Mr. M. V. Krishna Rao, IPS (AP, 1974), Additional Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been appointed as the next Director-General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Panel for J. S. (E), Petroleum & Natural Gas deferred once again
The panel of officers for the appointment of Joint Secretary (Exploration) in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has been deferred once again. According to sources, the panel had the name of Mr. Apurva Chandra, IAS (MH, 1988), Resident Commissioner, Maharashtra Sadan, New Delhi along with other officers. It has happened on two-three occasions earlier as well. The post was held earlier by Mr. A. K. Jain, IAS (MP, 1986) and lying vacant since the completion of his tenure on 29th June, 2008.

A new post of Joint Secretary was created in the Department of Commerce in the month of June, 2008. The panel of officers for appointment on this newly created post has been deferred once again.
