Ms. Nandita Chatterjee (WB, 1980) is tipped to be in consideration for appointment as Deputy Director General, Council for Advancement of People’s Action and Rural Technology (CAPART), Department of Rural Development.
Ms. Renuka Kumar appointed J. S., Corporate Affairs
Ms. Renuka Kumar, IAS (UP, 1987) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in place of Mr. Jitesh Khosla, IAS (AM, 1979). Mr. Khosla was given three months extension following the completion of tenure on 20th January, 2009.
Mr. A. M. Prasad appointed J. S., Health & Family Welfare
Mr. Amit Mohan Prasad, IAS (UP, 1989), Director in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The post was held earlier by Mr. Pravir Krishna, IAS (MP, 1987).
Mr. Devesh Chaturvedi to become Additional D. G., Tourism
Mr. Devesh Chaturvedi, IAS (UP, 1989), Director in the Ministry of Tourism has been appointed Additional D. G., Tourism in the office of D. G. Tourism, Ministry of Tourism. The earlier incumbent to the post, Mr. Sanjay Kothari, IAS (HY, 1978) has become Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism.
Mr. Pravin Srivastava to become Additional DG, ASI
Mr. Pravin Srivastava, IAS (MT, 1980) has been appointed Additional Director General in the Archeological Survey of India (ASI), Ministry of Culture. Mr. Vijay Shankar Madan, IAS (UT, 1981), who was serving as Additional Director General in the Archeological Survey of India (ASI), Ministry of Culture was shifted as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture in December, 2008.
Mr. Amit Jha to join NDMA
Mr. Amit Jha, IAS (HY, 1987), Director, Department of Agriculture & Cooperation in the Ministry of Agriculture has been appointed Joint Secretary in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Mr. C. Viswanath appointed J. S., Food & Public Distribution
Mr. Chirravuri Viswanath, IAS (AP, 1981), Resident Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh Bhawan has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Food and Public Distribution. The post was created in December, 2008.
Empanelment of IDAS officers of 1985 batch
According to sources, nine officers of Indian Defence Accounts Service of 1985 batch; Kum. Gurjot K. Sondhe, Marella Anjaneyulu, M. A. Lincoln, Nawal Kishore, Navneet Verma, G. D. Pungle, Alok Chaturvedi, D. C. S. Negi and R. K. Choudhary were reviewed by the CSB for empanelment in the level of Joint Secretary in the Government of India and amongst them the names of Marella Anjaneyulu, Navneet Verma and G. D. Pungle has been recommended for empanelment.
Mr. R. R. Pandey may be shifted to Ministry of Finance
The buzz is that Mr. Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey, IAS (KN, 1998), Secretary in the Election Commission of India may be shifted as Director in the 13th Finance Commission in the Ministry of Finance.
Mr. A. P. Pathak may become Director, Revenue
The name of Mr. Ajay Prakash Pathak, C. Eng. S (Roads) is believed to have been finalised for appointment as Director in the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. The post was held earlier by Mr. M. D. Sinha, IFS (HY, 1989)
