Mr. A. P. Singh may become Special Director, CBI

Mr. Amar Pratap Singh, IPS (JH, 1974), Additional Director General (ADG), Border Security Force (BSF) may be appointed as Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Ms. V. Ramachandran appointed A. S., Expenditure

Ms. Vilasini Ramachandran, IAS (GJ, 1977), Additional Secretary & FA, Ministry of Civil Aviation has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Expenditure. Following the appointment Ms Rita Menon, IAS (UT, 1975) as Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles the post of Additional Secretary in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, held earlier by her fell vacant.

Mr. R. C. Misra appointed AS & FA, IT

Mr. Ramesh Chandra Misra, IAS (OR, 1976), Additional Secretary & FA in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has been appointed as Additional Secretary & FA in the Department of Information Technology. Mr. Misra will hold the additional charge of Additional Secretary & FA, Information & Broadcasting.

Mr. Saurabh Chandra appointed AS & FA, IPP

Mr. Saurabh Chandra, IAS (UP, 1978) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & FA in the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry in place of Mr. Dileep Raj S. Chaudhary, IAS (MP, 1977). Mr. Chaudhary has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Mr. Bharat Bhusan appointed JS & FA, Civil Aviation

Mr. E. K. Bharat Bhusan, IAS (KL, 1979), Joint Secretary & FA in the Department of Information and Technology has been appointed as Joint Secretary & FA in the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Who will succeed Mr. R. G. Nadadur?

Mr. Raghunandan G. Nadadur, IAS (KN, 1980), Joint secretary in the Department of space will complete his central deputation tenure on 10th February, 2009. According to sources, the Government is looking for an IAS officer for appointment on this post.

Appointment of Director, Expenditure

One post of Director held earlier by Ms. Reema Prakash, IA&AS (1991) had fallen vacant on her premature repatriation to her parent Department in May, 2008. According to sources, an officer with experience of finance is being looked out for appointment on this post.

Empanelment of IDAS officers of 1986 batch

According to sources, seven officers of Indian Defence Accounts Service of 1986 batch were reviewed by the CSB for empanelment in the level of Joint secretary in the Government of India. The officers who were reviewed are;

2. Mr. Avinash Dikshit,
3. Ms. Anuradha Prasad,
4. Mr. Rakesh Sehgal,
5. Ms. Rasika Chaube,
6. Mr. R. N. Das and
7. Mr. S. P. N. Singh

Empanelment of IA&AS officers in the level of J. S.

According to sources, nine officers of Indian Audit and Accounts Service were reviewed by the CSB for holding the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent in the Government. The officers who were reviewed were;

1. Mr. T. K. Sanyal (1975),
2. Mr. S. B. Pillay (1977),
3. Mr. S. K. Mishra (1977),
4. Mr. B. R. Khairnar (1977),
5. Mr. Shankar Narayan (1978),
6. Ms. Usha Sankar (1979),
7. Mr. R. P. Singh (1979),
8. Mr. A. K. Singh (1979) and
9. Mr. B. Mazumdar.

Two officers in the race for appointment in Anti-Naxalite Cell

A new post at Director level has been created in the Anti-Naxalite Cell under the Ministry of Home Affairs has been created. The name of Dr. Y. K. Gautam, IPS (AM, 1990) and Mr. Ram Prasad Meena, IPS (AM, 1993) is doing rounds for appointment on this post.
