The name of Anita Soni is believed to have been recommended for appointment as Director (Finance), Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL).

Four IPS officers of 1975 batch have been empanelled in the rank of Additional Director General or equivalent in the Government of India. The officers who have been empanelled are;

Mr. Govind Mohan to become J. S., Economic Affairs?
Mr. Govind Mohan, IAS (SK, 1989), Director in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, who has been empanelled for holding the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent in the Government of India may soon be appointed on the post of Joint Secretary, Economic Affairs, sources said. The post was held earlier by Mr. Arvind Mayaram, IAS (RJ, 1978) who has become Additional Secretary & FA in the Ministry of Rural Development.
Mr. Amitabh Jain may become J. S., Commerce
According to sources, the name of Mr. Amitabh Jain, IAS (CG, 1989), Joint Director in the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFIT), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, who has been empanelled as Joint Secretary in the Government of India, is almost final for appointment on the newly created post of Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce and formal order is expected in the next week.
Mr. Devesh Chaturvedi to become Additional D. G., Tourism?
Mr. Devesh Chaturvedi, IAS (UP, 1989), Director in the Ministry of Tourism may become next Additional D. G., Tourism in the office of D. G. Tourism, Ministry of Tourism. The formal order is expected in the next week, sources informed. Mr. Chaturvedi has been recently empanelled as Joint Secretary in the Government of India. The earlier incumbent to the post, Mr. Sanjay Kothari, IAS (HY, 1978) has been appointed on the newly created post of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism following his empanelment for holding the post of Additional Secretary or equivalent in the Government of India, few months back.
Mr. A. M. Prasad may become J. S., Health & Family Welfare soon
It is tipped that the name of Mr. Amit Mohan Prasad, IAS (UP, 1989), Director in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is almost final for appointment as next Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and formal order is expected in the next week. The post was held earlier by Mr. Pravir Krishna, IAS (MP, 1987). Mr. Prasad has been recently empanelled as Joint Secretary in the Government of India.
Who will be appointed J. S., Civil Aviation?
The panel for appointment of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation in place of Mr. K. N. Srivastava, IAS (KN, 1978) who has been appointed as next Director General of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Ministry of Culture was scrapped last time. It is tipped that two IAS officers are in the race for this post.
Mr. Alok Sinha-II may join GOI
The name of Mr. Alok Sinha-II, IAS (UP, 1986) is said to be in consideration for some assignment in the Central Government and if appointed he may join GOI soon.
