According to sources, the name of Mr. P. K. Dubey, Mr. P. C. Chottary, Mr. A. R. Malhotra, Mr. Ramji Sinha, Mr. M. S. Rai and Mr. A. Das has been proposed for appointment as Member Settlement Commission (IT/ Wealth Tax) at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kolkata and Chennai respectively.

Empanelment of IAS officers of 1981 batch as J. S.

According to sources, seven IAS officers of 1981 batch were reviewed by the CSB for empanelment in the level of Joint Secretary in the GOI but were declined empanelment.

Mr. U. Chatterjee to succeed Mr. Julka?

According to sources, the name of Mr. Upamanyu Chatterjee, IAS (MH, 1983) has been almost finalised for appointment as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence in place of Mr. Bimal Julka, IAS (MP, 1979) whose extended tenure is ending on 28th March, 2009.
