Appointment of Deputy Governor, RBI
The appointment of new Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India in place of Mr. V. Leeladhar, who retired in the early of December, 2008, is likely to be decided on 05th January, 2009. According to sources, Mr. T. S. Narayanasami, Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of India is the most probable contender to be appointed as Deputy Governor, RBI.
Mr. R. K. Srivastava may succeed Mr. Bimal Julka
The name of Mr. Ravindra Kumar Srivastava, IAS (JH, 1984) is doing rounds for appointment as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Defence in place of Mr. Bimal Julka, IAS (MP, 1979), Joint Secretary, Defence on completion of his extended central deputation tenure on 28th March, 2009.
