Ms. K. S. Rao to become Secretary, NACO?
It is tipped that Ms. Kanuru Sujatha Rao, IAS (AP, 1974), Special Secretary & DG, National Aids Control Organisation (NACO) in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family may become the first Secretary of National Aids Control Organisation (NACO).
Ms. Sujata Saunik may be shifted
According to sources, the name of Ms. Sujata Saunik, IAS (MH, 1987), Executive Director, Central Social Welfare Board (CSWB), Ministry of Women and Child Development is in consideration for appointment on some post in the Ministry of Power.
Mr. Amitabh Verma may get extension
It is tipped that Mr. Amitabh Verma, IAS (BH, 1982), Joint secretary in the Department of Financial services, Ministry of Finance whose central deputation tenure is till 17th March, 2009 may be given three months extension.
Mr. S. S. Agarwal to become J. S., Commerce?
A new post of Joint secretary was created in the Department of Commerce in the month of June, 2008 and it is tipped that Mr. Shyam S. Agarwal, IAS (RJ, 1980), Additional Director General in the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFIT), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry may be appointed on this newly created post of Joint Secretary.
Mr. Amitabh Jain may be elevated as ADG, DGFIT
Mr. Amitabh Jain, IAS (CG, 1989), Joint Director General in the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFIT), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, who has been empanelled in the rank of Joint Secretary may be elevated as Additional Director General in the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFIT) as it is believed that the incumbent ADG, DGFIT, Mr. Shyam S. Agarwal, IAS (RJ, 1980) may be appointed Joint secretary in the Department of Commerce.
Mr. Jayant Dasgupta appointed Secretary, Economic Advisory Council to the PM
Mr. Jayant Dasgupta, IAS (BH, 1981), whose central deputation tenure as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce came to end on 18th January, 2009 has been appointed as Secretary, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister following the cancellation of appointment of Dr. Anup K. Pujari, IAS (KN, 1980) on this post. The post was held earlier by Dr. Alok Sheel, IAS (KL, 1982) who was shifted as Joint Secretary to the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.

According to sources, Ms. Bhagyadevi Rajendran, IRS (C&CE, 1989) is being considered for appointment as Regional Director, Staff selection Commission (SSC) under the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances.
