Mr. M. N. Prasad appointed Secretary, PMO
Mr. M. N. Prasad, IAS (BH, 1972), at present, serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs has been appointed as the next Secretary, PMO. The incumbent Secretary, PMO, Mr. Pulok Chaterji, IAS (UP, 1974) is moving to the World Bank for his next assignment as Executive Director there.
Ms. Feroza Mehrotra appointed Consultant Planning Commission
Ms. Feroza Mehrotra, IAS (HY, 1974) has been appointed as Consultant in the Planning Commission, Government of India. The position is equivalent to the rank of Secretary. Earlier as well, she has served for over three years as Advisor in the Planning Commission.
Mr. R. V. Raju appointed NIA chief
Mr. R. V. Raju, IPS (JK, 1975) has been appointed the Chief of newly formed National Investigation Agency (NIA).

It is tipped that Mr. Vivek Mehrotra, IAS (HY, 1974), Secretary in the Department of Disinvestment, ministry of Finance may succeed Mr. M. N. Prasad, IAS (BH, 1972) as the next Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Mr. Prasad is being shifted as Secretary, PMO.

The name of Ms. Sumita Misra Singh, IAS (HY, 1990) is believed to be in consideration for appointment as Director, Census Operation in Haryana.
Ms. Rinku Dhugga may become Director, Census Operation, A&N Islands
The name of Ms. Rinku Dhugga, IAS (UT, 1994) is believed to be in consideration for appointment as Director, Census Operation, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Mr. M. S. Rao may be shifted
According to sources, Mr. M. Srinivas Rao, IAS (AM, 1987), Deputy Chairman, Vishakapatnam Port Trust is being considered for some other assignment under the Department of Commerce.
Mr. Abhishek Singh to become Director, IT?
Is Mr. Abhishek Singh, IAS (NL, 1995) joining his next assignment with the Government of India on deputation? It is tipped that his name is in consideration for appointment as Director in the Ministry of Information & Technology. The post of Director was created in the month of April, 2008.
